Hope you had a great Thanksgiving Holiday! It's Monday, back at it...so I thought a funny cat video would be a nice giggle to start off the week! If you ever ever ever (did I say EVER?) have a cute video you would like to share, please send it to: sandra@wirk.com
See you tomorrow!

Sandra Says...WIRK Holiday Food Drive Continues!
We are now onto day 2 of the WIRK Annual Holiday Food Drive! Tiny has been camping out with Jeff...oh boy...in the LOWE'S parking lot off of Ockeechobee Blvd right behind Renegades. We are collecting ANY and ALL FOOD items for "Feeding South Florida" who will distribute to all needy families this Holiday season. YOU ARE making a difference! Every bit of food helps, even if it is just one can food item. One loaf of bread. Anything. If everyone who listens to WIRK stopped by with just one thing, we would have that 53 foot tractor trailer loaded! I know we can do it and it is for such a good cause.
Thank-you for all you are doing and know that each and every one of you have and ARE touching our hearts with your donations and helping to feed South Florida.
Bill and I are on our way out there this morning (10am) and will be hanging out this afternoon and hope to see you there!
Hugs,
Sandra

Sandra Says...WIRK Holiday Food Drive
The WIRK Holiday Food drive is in full swing today with the hopes by Wednesday morning at 10am, we (with your help) will have filled a 53 foot tractor trailer with food for "Feeding South Florida." ALL this food goes to needy families so ANY food is helpful and needed! I am going to bring over Stuffing today and drop it off with Tiny who is camping out the on Lowe's parking lot until Wednesday morning! ANYTIME you want to bring food, please do so!
Perishable and Non-perishable food items are welcome!!! If you can eat it...we need it!
Tiny is at the Lowe's behind Renegades on Okeechobee Blvd! Well, I am off to buy some food to drop off and thank you thank you thank you thank you!!
ALSO A BIG THANKS for Kenney Property for supplying us VERY LAST MINUTE with porta potties for Tiny as of course, we were under the impression that we 'thought of everything' and it turns out, we didn't give Tiny a bathroom! LOL....He started doing the "I gotta pee dance" and we got busy getting the word out about our issue when Kenney Property called us and saved the day!
You can check out their website (They do a lot of apartment rentals, not just porta potties) www.kenneyproperty.com or call at 561-820-0090
Cheers!

Sandra Says...TWILIGHT NEW MOON PREMIERE!
I am so excited for the Twilight New Moon premiere tonight at Regal Royal Palm! Like a lot of Twilight fans, I have been counting the days down! What I really like about the books is that it encourages kids to read and also allows for the gap in age from the parents and kids to allow a bonding time together that both can enjoy together. It is FULL OF WIN! Don't worry, tomorrow morning I will not ruin the movie for you by telling you what happens, but then again, if you read the books, you already KNOW what happens! Ha!!
If you are one of the winners for the show tonight, we would really appreciate it if you could bring a non-perishable food item along with you to kick start our WIRK Holiday Food Drive which officially begins Monday morning at 6am at Lowe's on Okeechobee Blvd. Tiny is going to be camping out Mon, Tuesday and wraps up at 10am on Wed. More details online here at wirk.com and also by listening to The Jeff Elliott in the Morning Show!

Sandra Says...TWILIGHT NEW MOON
What a BUSY weekend we have! If you haven't looked at what's going on this weekend, click HERE to check out your Best Bet's for this weekend. I will be out at Fall Fest tomorrow and broadcasting from 4-6pm. Tiny, Bill, Jeff, Dina, Sammy....we will ALL be out there tomorrow! Woop! Woop!
SoOoOOoooooOOoOoo...TWILIGHT NEW MOON! Special Premiere on Wednesday at the Regal Royal Palm Theatre...if you win your way in, you will see the movie 2 days before anyone else as it opens to the public on Friday...or, Midnight on Thursday...which is yes...FRIDAY! :-)
I found a cool behind the scenes video with the making on NEW MOON...check it out!
We will hide another picture of a vampire on Monday, and if you are the first person to find it...you win 2 tickets inside this special premiere! I can't hardly wait for this movie, I am a huge fan and am excited to see how it follows the book. The first one was 'close' I suppose, but I am a fan of both the books and the one movie so far. It is so hard to get things exactly right from book to movie, cramming 8-12 hours of reading into 2 hours is a little crazy! And a lot of whats going on with NEW MOON, for those of you who have read the book, you notice that Bella has a lot going on with her thoughts in this one. So, we shall see what happens. I am truly excited though!
Another Vampire based series I really like is the Sookie Stackhouse novels which have since been turned into an HBO series called TRUE BLOOD. The vampires in this series have 'come out of the coffin' and the public is now aware of their existence. There has been a development with synthetic blood for vampires to drink and they also can feed of humans without killing them, but here is the synopsis:
Based on the Sookie Stackhouse novels by Charlaine Harris, True Blood follows the relationship between a southern waitress (Sookie) who happens to be telepathic, and her soul mate Bill Compton, who happens to be a 173-year-old vampire. Taking place in the future, vampires have come out of their "coffins" and live among humans thanks to the creation of synthetic blood, which enables them to live without needing to feed off humans.
As these vampires try to create their own niche in society, they face some serious opposition from organizations who feel that these creatures have no place in their society. They also live in fear of being drained of their own blood by humans looking to get high. As it turns out, vampire blood (also called "V") works as an extremely powerful drug similar to the effects of ecstasy and heroin.
When vampire Bill comes to the fictional town of Bon Temps, Sookie immediately forms a romantic bond and a relationship develops.
Can humans and vampires live together in harmony? Watch and find out! You can rent season 1 now and season 2 will be released December 3rd (so they say!)
Here is a clip...see what you think!
Hopefully I will see you at Fallfest tomorrow and I will also be at BrandSmart on Sunday from 11-1pm!
Cheers!

CMA's
In case you didn't stay up last night to watch the CMA's...I got ya covered!
Here's a list of the official CMA Awards 2009 winners:
Entertainer of the Year: Taylor Swift
Male Vocalist of the Year: Brad Paisley
Single of the Year: "I Run to You," Lady Antebellum
Album of the Year: Fearless, Taylor Swift
Female Vocalist of the Year: Taylor Swift
Song of the Year: "In Color," Jamey Johnson (w/ cowriters Lee Thomas Miller and James Otto)
Music Video of the Year: "Love Story," Taylor Swift
Best New Artist of the Year: Darius Rucker
Musician of the Year: Mac McAnally
Event of the Year: "Start a Band," Brad Paisley and Keith Urban
Vocal Group of the Year: Lady Antebellum
Vocal Duo of the Year: Sugarland
This morning we all spoke about Taylor Swift and her weak performance on the CMA's last night, and with the coveted Entertainer of the Year Award, we are left wondering how that award was chosen? Is this solely based on Album sales? Popularity? I LOVE Taylor Swift, and so do the guys (Tiny, Bill & Jeff) so please do not take it as I am tinkling on her success. 'Entertainer of the Year' is a collective award, right? This is YOUR PEAK and I do not feel it was Taylors Year oin that sense. I also wish someone could work with her on her live performaces/singing. At any rate, Taylor Swift is hot hot hot right now and she did have the most album sales of any other artist/save Michael Jackson and she does deserve respect. It is the way in which the awards were handed out that have left us saying "HmMmMmMm." Billy Currington and Zac Brown need to check their wallets this morning because last night at the CMA's they were ROBBED! Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley did an outstandning job at banter and silliness wth hosting the ceremony. I want them every year!
Here are some video clips from last nights CMA's....and Taylors live sining as well..

I Miss My Kitty...FUNNY KITTIES VIDEO!
(My Kitty Pepe Le Meow on Left!) I have been kicking around an idea lately that has proven to be difficult for me. When I moved to South Florida, I decided not to bring my kitty Pepe Le Meow with me. He is in a big house with a playmate in Iowa with my husband, Nathan right now and the plan has beent o bring the kitties, husband and all our stuff to South Florida at the same time. We (Husband and I) do not know when that time will be as he is (Nathan) in the Iowa National Guard full time and is looking for a transfer. I miss my husband, but he CANT be here right now, but Pepe can be. Here is the problem...do I bring Pepe on a plane to be with me before Nathan and Sasha (Nathans kitty)? Not only that, but my roomates have 3 little weiner dogs, even though they are locked up during the day in a gated area with a doggie door that leads outside, I worry about the kitty-dog warfare and how Pepe (and the dogs) will handle the changes. I feel as though I am being the 'selfish kitty mama' by wanting to bring him here early. I just MISS HIM SO MUCH!!!What do you think???
My email:
sandra@wirk.com
As always, I appreciate your thoughts and emails....hugs! Enjoy the funny video of kitties above!

The Secret PO BOX
A strong FOS (friend of the show) called this morning to talk about her fiance having a PO BOX that he never told her about. The issue was that he said it was for work mail, but work mail was also coming to the house. She found the key and was wondering if she should go and take a 'peek' inside. Wow, did the calls come in...for BOTH sides! A lot of people said yes, go look (including me) but also said no, it's a trust issue.
I tend to lean to the negative side on this one, can't help it. If it was 'no big deal' to have this PO BOX, why did he never tell her? For whatever reason? Yes, it could be work stuff where he doesn't want clients to know is home address or something, but if that's the case, why not mention it? It just seems like there was something to hide.
NOW...on the flip side, what if he has the PO BOX for the wedding ring bills and/or a special secret surprise gift or honeymoon for the wedding? Wouldn't Heidi feel bad? Sure! SO what to do?
I think my fave idea from a few listeners was to ask her fiane to take her with him the next time he gets mail to just close the subject. It is not that she doesn;t trust him, but because of the secretive circumstances, it just needs to be resolved.
I suppose either way is tough. If it were you, wouldn't you be curious?? Personally, I would never have had a trust issue or even thought twice about if it happened to me, had my fiance/husband TOLD me about it when he got it. I mean, I mention to Nathan when I go to the store, and thats petty mundane! I think if I decided to get a PO BOX for whatever reason that was harmless, I would mention it.
Oh well. I feel like I am beating a dead horse! AHHHHHHHHHHHH SOoOOoO..how about we lead into the weekend with a giggle or two???
KIDS SAY THE DARNDEST THINGS!!!! Listen to what this little cutie says to his mommy!!!!!!!
Have a great weekend! I hope to see you tomorrow at Arrigo Dodge Chrysler Jeep tomorrow from 230pm-430pm! AWESOME FREE deals and PRIZES! FALL FEST TICKETS every 15 minutes and more!! Come on out! 6500 Okeechobee Blvd-corner of Okeechobee Blvd and the turnpike!

Pets, Hooters & The Kid Test
Boy, a lot of emotion this morning between 'picking your pet or your spouse' and the woman named Stacy who called in to say how upset she was/is that her husband took their 11 year old son to hooters after a sports win. Now, I ended up sounding like I would chose my cat, Pepe Le Meow over my husband; however, I did not say that (guilty by omission I guess) but at the same time, what a silly question, right?! LOL That's all we got folks...silliness. :-P
As for the father who took his 11 year old to hooters, I am not sure it was such a bad thing as the mom made it out to be, but then again, I do not have kids nor do I know the situation at home for that mom and her husband and kid (s). I do know that I personally think there was nothing wrong with it and throwing the servers under the bus is the wrong direction to take. I'm pretty laid back though and prefer to 'pick my battles.'
NOW...THIS IS FUN! I DO NOT THINK I AM READY FOR KIDS...YET...LOL...READ ON AND TAKE THE TEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THE KIDS TEST –
…How to know whether or not you are ready to have kids:
MESS TESTS
smear peanut butter on the sofa and curtains. Place a fish stickbehind the couch and leave it there all summer.-
TOY TEST
Obtain a 55 gallon box of Lego (you may substitute roofing tacks if you wish). Have a friend spread them all over the house. Put on a blindfold and take off shoes. Try to walk to the bathroom or kitchen.Do not scream because this would wake a child at night.-
GROCERY STORE TEST
Borrow one or two small animals (goats are best) and take them withyou as you shop. Always keep them in sight and pay for anything they eat or damage.-
DRESSING TEST
Obtain one large, unhappy, live octopus. Stuff into a small net bagmaking sure that all the arms stay inside.-
FEEDING TEST
Obtain a large plastic milk jug. Fill halfway with water. Suspendfrom the ceiling with a cord. Start the jug swinging. Try to insert spoonfuls of soggy cereal into the mouth of the jug, while pretending to be an airplane. Now dump the contents of the jug on the floor.-
NIGHT TEST
Prepare by obtaining a small cloth bag and fill it with 8-12 poundsof sand. Soak it thoroughly in water. At 3:00pm, begin to waltz andhum with the bag until 9:00pm. Lay down your bag and set your alarmfor 10:00pm. Get up, pick up your bag, and sing every song you haveever heard. Make up about a dozen more and sing these too until4:00am. Set alarm for 5:00am. Get up and make breakfast. Keep this upfor 5 years. Look cheerful.-
INGENUITY TEST
Take an egg carton. Using a pair of scissors and pot of paint, turnit into an alligator. Now take a toilet paper tube and turn it intoan attractive Christmas candle. Use only scotch tape and a piece offoil. Last, take a milk carton, a ping-pong ball, and an empty box of Cocoa Puffs. Make an exact replica of the Eiffel Tower.-
AUTOMOBILE TEST
Forget the BMW and buy a station wagon. Buy a chocolate ice creamcone and put it in the glove compartment. Leave it there. Get a dime.Stick it into the CD player. Take a family-size package of chocolate chip cookies. Mash them into the back seat. Run a rake along both side of the car. There, perfect!-
PHYSICAL TEST (WOMEN)
Obtain a large bean bag chair and attach it to the front of yourclothes. Leave it there for 9 months. Then remove the beans. And trynot to notice your closet full of clothes. You won't be wearing them for a while.-
PHYSICAL TEST (MEN)
Go to the nearest drug store. Set your wallet on the counter. Ask theclerk to help himself. Now proceed to the nearest food store. Go tothe head office and arrange for your paycheck to be directly deposited to the store. Purchase a newspaper. Go home and read it quietly for the last time.-
FINAL ASSIGNMENT
Find a couple who already has a small child. Lecture them on how theycan improve their discipline, patience, tolerance, and toilet training and child's table manners. Suggest many ways they canimprove. Emphasize to them that they should never allow theirchildren to run wild. Enjoy this experience. It will be the last time you will have all the answers.

What is your SUPER HERO POWER???
So here we are...Jeff, Bill, Tiny and myself...sitting around in the WIRK studios at CBS and what do we find ourselves debating?? What kind of super hero power we would want to have! It sounds easy, doesn't it? WRONG! lol...well, at least for me...I keep changing my mind. The boys laugh at me and say stuff like "You can't have more than one power!" But I say "Wait a second, Superman had more than one power, so did Spiderman....." Yes, we can find ways to argue and debate this! I finally decided on Super Speed, while both Bill and Jeff chose Invisibility! The boys decided to throw in a 'catch' though. At any time, you could lose your super power, and it will never come back. SO, if you chose flying....you could fall from the sky! Because of this, Tiny chickened out and said he would rather not have a power at all...
Do you watch the show 'Heroes' on Monday nights at 8pm? I LOVE that show! I am huge into super heroes and comic heroes. Spiderman is my fave, which is odd since I have a fear of spiders. I have a ton of Marvel Spiderman cards in mint condition and a big lot of comic books as well. If you haven't watched Heroes, and you start now, it will not make a lot of sense and the third season is a little shaky on the writing, but you might remember the writers strike in Hollywood was during this time. If you want to watch the series (currently in the 4th season) I would recommend renting the series from the video store and get caught up. I think its worth it...:-)
Some other good shows this season (in my opinion) are:
1. Flashforward
2. GLEE
3. Lie to Me (You don't have to be up to speed on the season to watch this show.)
4. Fringe
5. Mercy
6. House
7. The Good Wife
8. Vampire Diaries
9. Dexter (Showtime)
Talk to you tomorrow!
Cheers,
Sandra

Things You Say to Little Kids and Your Drunk Friends
This morning, we realized that the things you say to a little kid, also apply to your drunk friends! We threw a few out there for you that Jeff, Bill, Tiny and myself came up with, but the gold came from you...of course! The strong FOS (friend of the show!)! Here is a list compiled this morning from the things you say to a little kid are also things you wouuld say to a drunk friend...hilarious!
Pull your pants up!
Get down off of there!
Get that out of your mouth!
why are you crying?
It's going to be alright...
I can't understand what you're saying!
Do you need a ride home?
Don't do that, you're going to get hurt!
We're almost home, you can hold it!
Keep your pants on, there are people around!
I can't believe you just stole that!
Get out of the road, a car is coming!
Let me help you put your shoes on the right feet?
What is that in your hair?
Don't put that in your mouth, you don't know where it's been
This why we don't take you anywhere....
Use your INSIDE voice
No, u can't go here, wait ill find a bathroom!
Stop that now, you be nice to your brother
Quit crawling... You're old enough to walk!
Wait til your Father hears about this!
Just go to bed and go to sleep!
What do you mean you can't hold it?
Don't pee on that, you know where the toliet is...
